From Legal to Lethal- Gun Awareness Social Campaign

The Brief
Campaigns are society's way of telling the world that there is something wrong, unjust or unknown taking place in our community. I were tasked to create a Social Responsibility Campaign on our topic of choice along with the campaign we had to come up with visuals to reach a specific target market.
Our Campaign
My Campaign focuses solely on an awareness campaign which displays the tragic statistics of what your licensed gun can be capable of doing if it falls into the wrong hands. We aim to make gun owners aware of this and motivate them to be more cautious with their firearm. All illegal guns were once legal before being diverted to the illegal pool of weapons in South Africa. It’s just tragic to hear that on an average day, 30 people lose their lives due to gun-related injuries, and over 180 people get injured, some even facing disabilities for life. That’s why this campaign is so important—it aims to make gun owners fully aware of the dire consequences of having loosing your gun or having it stolen due to negligence. Can you imagine? One of those 30 victims could be someone hurt by their very own gun. We’ve got to spread the word about responsible gun ownership and safety. Lets work together and spread the word thus making sure that this message reached far and wide!
Colour Palette:

Typefaces:
Bahnschrift which is a standardization for letterforms designs created by Deutsches Institut für Normung in 1931, and was intended for use on road signs and other technical implementations. We thought the legibility and straightforward nature paired well with our campaign.
We used HumanRase as it is an expressive, aggressive, yet simple and legible tag style font as written with a bullet tip marker. the handwritten style was used in our visual advertising
